What is the Difference Between Amazon Prime and Netflix?
Amazon Prime looks to give greater cost savings if you are willing to pay in advance for a year.
Prime membership also includes free delivery, free Kindle content, and access to additional bargains across all Amazon online purchasing choices.
Netflix and Amazon Prime both have appealing libraries.
However, the Netflix repertoire may change regularly and without warning, so movies and television programs that are accessible one day may be removed the next.
Netflix's monthly cost allows users to join, stop, and rejoin the service as needed.
Netflix currently has a greater archive than Prime.
Prime is continually extending its content collection, which may reduce the gap over time.
The number of concurrent streams possible
Unless you're the only viewer in your family, the ability to stream to many devices at once is a must-have function.
If you want to watch Netflix on several devices, you'll need to upgrade to at least the Standard plan.
If you need more than two streams, the $19.99 Premium package is the way to go.
Every Prime Video package includes several concurrent streams.
In fact, as long as the material is distinct, you may stream it to three devices at the same time.
The same material may be streamed to two devices at the same time.
Content Exclusivity
HBO series like The Wire, Six Feet Under, and The Sopranos are Amazon exclusives that are not available on Netflix; Nickelodeon cartoons like Dora the Explorer, Go Diego, Go!
, SpongeBob SquarePants; and thrillers such as 24 and Veronica Mars.
AMC titles like Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and The Walking Dead are Netflix exclusives, as are Dexter, How I Met Your Mother, Arrested Development, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, and Supernatural.
Netflix originally gained fame for its original shows such as House of Cards and Orange Is the New Black.
It also created a new season of the cult hit Arrested Development.
Stranger Things, Narcos, Sacred Games, new seasons of Black Mirror, 13 Reasons Why, Ozark, Lilyhammer, Hemlock Grove, Bad Samaritans, and Marco Polo are among the other original Netflix shows.
The most popular Amazon Prime original series have included Transparent, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Man in the High Castle, Jack Ryan, Sneaky Pete, Bosch, and The Grand Tour.
Content library / Library Size
Amazon Prime Video features a small yet broad video inventory. You'll discover a good mix of popular series and movies, as well as a lot of specialized or older stuff. One of Prime Video's main draws is its original programming, and numerous of its series have received critical praise and accolades.
The content accessible via Prime Video changes often, and shows that were available through Prime Video one day may not be available the next. You should also be on the lookout for compensated material. A large portion of Amazon's streaming content requires you to buy or rent it. You'll have to pay extra to view an episode or movie that doesn't feature the "Prime" banner.
Alternatively, Netflix has a big content inventory, albeit it is obviously dwindling as contracts with other content providers expire. (We're looking at you, Marvel.) Netflix, like Amazon, has been concentrating extensively on original content, and several of its original series have been incredibly successful. Netflix is also keen on presenting foreign material that you would not discover elsewhere in the United States.
Aside from everything else, the material provided by a service is most likely how most individuals will pick where to subscribe. However, since content choices vary depending on the viewer, this is a tough item to compare.
Foreign Films and Television Shows
Season 3 of the PBS series Downton Abbey is available exclusively online via Prime Instant Video (beginning December 1). As of November 2013, the debut date for Amazon's foreign service, Lovefilm, has not to be determined. The nations where this service is available (the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Germany) will shortly witness the release of several Amazon original shows.
Netflix has various international films and TV episodes, including the Norwegian drama Lilyhammer and many British shows such as Being Human and Downton Abbey, among many more.
Nollywood Movies
Both platforms feature fantastic Nigerian movies, but I believe Netflix takes the lead since the site has a partnership with the Nollywood film business. The platform was also the first to join the market, which explains why it had such a high stake. However, Prime Video's Nigerian movies are not available on Netflix.
"Certified Fresh" movies
On January 28, 2019, Streaming Observer noted that, despite a smaller movie collection, Netflix continues to have more movies that are "Certified Fresh" by review site Rotten Tomatoes than Amazon Prime and HBO Now.
The amount of "certified fresh" movies available on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and HBO Now in January 2019, as determined by Streaming Observer.

Device Compatibility
The only significant gadget that does not support Amazon Video but does support Netflix is Chromecast.
Netflix supports Chromecast from all of its iOS and Android applications, while Amazon Video does not.
Netflix offers a dedicated app for Apple TV, while Amazon does not.
Amazon Video applications for iOS do enable streaming to Apple TV, so if you have an Apple TV, you can watch Netflix without using any other devices.
To utilize Amazon Video on Apple TV, however, you must have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod.
Amazon Prime is available on a variety of devices, including PCs and Blu-ray players, Internet-connected televisions, and set-top boxes such as Roku Set-Top boxes.
Blu-ray players from Sony, LG, and Panasonic are examples of such products.
Amazon Instant Video-compatible HDTVs from LG, Vizio, and Panasonic, as well as Android-based phones from similar companies, are among the available options.
To download to an Amazon Kindle Fire, just register the device using an Amazon.com account that is linked to a Prime membership.
Netflix apps are available on a variety of platforms, including Apple TV, iPad, Blu-ray players, TiVo, iOS and Android smartphones, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
Netflix is also available on Roku, Windows Phone, and Google's Chromecast.
Downloading Videos for Offline use
Amazon allows you to download videos for offline viewing.
Until December 2016, Netflix did not permit this.
Netflix began allowing the download of a limited number of videos for offline viewing in December 2016.
Initially, only Netflix original series could be downloaded.
Netflix has stated that it is working to make the majority of the content available on its platform available for download.
Compatibility with Closed Captions
Closed captioning is available for a variety of Amazon Instant Video devices, including the Amazon.com website for PCs and Macs, the Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD, the iPad, the iPhone, the PlayStation PS3 and PS4, the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Roku, Wii, Google TV, and Samsung and LG 2012 or later models.
Subtitles are available in 82% of Netflix content.
The company hopes to achieve 90% availability by the end of 2013 and 100% by the end of 2014.
Where in the World is Amazon Prime Available?
Amazon Instant Video is currently available in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Amazon is not available in Puerto Rico, Guam, or any other US territory.
Where in the World is Netflix Available?
Netflix is available in many countries, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Ireland, and the Nordic countries (excluding Iceland).
The available content varies by region.
Netflix Vs Amazon Prime Which is more Popular?
Netflix announced in April 2016 that it had 81.5 million subscribers, 42% of whom were from outside the United States. Amazon Prime is estimated to have 54 million members in the United States.
Despite the fact that both services have similar potential audiences, Netflix accounts for a much larger share of time spent.
According to a June 2016 report by networking company Sandvine, Netflix accounts for 35.15% of prime-time Internet usage in North America, while Amazon Video accounts for 4.26%.
Amazon Video's popularity has grown to the point where it now outperforms both iTunes (2.91%) and Hulu (2.68%). The analysis places YouTube at 17.53%.

Amazon offers a 30-day free trial of its Prime service, which costs $99 per year and includes unlimited free 2-day shipping,
In some metropolitan areas, you can get free same-day shipping (if you order before noon) or next-day shipping (if you order after noon).
One free Kindle book each month, and More savings on diapers and other family services with Amazon Mom services.
After the 30-day trial period, a yearly fee of $99 is charged.
The "free" annual membership does not include every movie and TV show available to stream.
Amazon rents and sells other digital content in addition to "Prime-eligible" content (movies, music, books, TV series).
As of the time of writing, Netflix provides the following online streaming plans for viewers outside Nigeria:
$7.99 per month for streaming on one screen at a time in standard definition.
$8.99 per month for HD streaming on two screens at the same time.
$11.99 per month for HD streaming on four screens at the same time.
Netflix also provides a DVD rental by mail service, with prices ranging from $4.99 for two DVDs per month to $19.99/month for unlimited Blu-ray discs with three out at once.
There are no advertisements on Netflix or Amazon Prime Instant Video.
Amazon does not permit simultaneous viewing on more than one device.
Video Content Quality
Here's another non-negotiable feature for many people.
Modern televisions, tablets, phones, and pretty much anything else you can stream on all have displays that are at least HD (720p to 1080p).
Many people take it a step further by using 4K Ultra HD (2160p).
If you have Amazon Prime Video, you're set.
You'll get HD-quality content by default, with up to 4K quality available for content with a higher resolution.
That is not the case with Netflix.
If you have a $9.99 Netflix plan, you're limited to SD quality, which is capped at 480p.
SD is simply not going to cut it on anything larger than a phone for most people.
To get HD, you must upgrade to the $15.49 Standard plan.
And if you want to watch content in 4K resolution, you'll need to upgrade to the Premium plan.
Can I share My Password Either on Netflix or Amazon Prime?
With the Netflix premium plan, you can share your password with friends so they can watch on their Smart TVs, phones, and laptops.
Close friends can contribute to the $7.99 per month subscription and share the password.
I doubt this is possible with Prime Video.
Summary

- Netflix has a larger catalog, and all of the content is included in the subscription.
